For 40 years, Freeman-Fritts has been dedicated to improving the lives of animals in Kerr County. What began as the area’s first animal shelter has grown into a comprehensive animal welfare organization with a veterinary clinic, surgery center, no-kill shelter, adoption program, and community outreach services.
In 2025 alone, Freeman-Fritts performed 1,806 spay and neuter surgeries and helped rescue 526 homeless dogs and cats. The organization also serves as a vital community resource, distributing more than 8,000 pounds of pet food following the July 4th flood and continuing to operate a pet food pantry for families in need.
For four decades, Freeman-Fritts has remained committed to giving animals a second chance and supporting the people who care for them.
